GENERAL DESCRIPTION
FIBACRYL™ is an advanced acrylic-based elastomeric coating designed for durability and performance. Reinforced with fibres and enhanced with fungal-resistant additives, it features a slightly textured finish and low sheen. Once dried, FIBACRYL™ forms a tough film that exhibits exceptional adhesion and resistance to alkali, water, and fungi.
USES
Its waterproofing capabilities effectively prevent issues like efflorescence and dampness on internal walls, making it an ideal choice for protecting surfaces. The incorporation of fibres in the formulation allows FIBACRYL™ to effectively cover hairline cracks and provide long-lasting protection against moisture-related problems.
All above technical data are based on FIBACRYL™ white only. Coverage / spreading rate of colours depend on condition and porosity of the surface and the manner in which FIBACRYL™ is applied and used. A wide range of colours can be obtained through our tinting system. TYPE - Acrylic copolymer emulsion.

All above technical data are based on FIBACRYL™ white. Coverage / Spreading rate of colours depend on condition and porosity of the surface and the way FIBACRYL™ is applied and used. For best results, do not exceed a spreading rate of 8m² per litre.
READY - for use with brush or roller.

EQUIPMENT CLEANING - Water.
Remove dust, dirt and plaster splashes. Cut out large cracks and Masonry, brick, plaster, imperfections, fill with suitable Crack Filler and sand smooth when is dry.
Fibre cement should be pre-wet before applying the first coat. Apply one coat CLASSISEAL Multipurpose Primer followed by two coats of FIBACRYL™ allowing at least 4 hours drying time between coats.
Wash down with water or detergent to remove all dirt, grease and other contaminants.
Cut out large cracks and imperfections, fill with recommended Crack Filler and sand smooth when dry.
For best results sand gloss or eggshell paint surfaces to a matt finish, then rinse with water and allow to dry.
Apply one or two coats of FIBACRYL™, depending on condition of the surface and quality of finish required.
Allow at least 4 hours drying time between coats.
Remove completely by scraping, wire brushing, hydro-blasting, burning or Paint Remover to bare sound surface.
Stop and fill all large cracks and imperfections with recommended Crack Filler, allow to dry and sand smooth when dry.
Apply one coat of CLASSISEAL Multipurpose Primer and allow to dry.
Damp Surfaces - Treat with CLASSIC DAMP SLURRY and then apply one to two coats of CLASSISEAL Multipurpose Primer and allow to dry.
Apply one or two coats of FIBACRYL™, depending on condition of the surface and quality of finish required.
Allow at least 4 hours drying time between coats.
The ambient temperature must be between 10ºC and 35ºC and humidity between 10% and 65%;
Do not expose containers to direct sunlight, except when painting;
Do not paint too early as the wall may still be damp - paint only when the walls are dry;
Do not paint in too hot weather, rather paint early morning and after lunch, the slower the paint dries, the longer it lasts;
Excessive application thickness and/or rapid drying could lead to cracking;
Avoid applying under adverse weather conditions as this could result in poor product performance;
Excessively friable surfaces should be cleaned down prior to primer application;
To assure smooth surface, paint corner to corner - from top to bottom - never halfway up and half way down;
Apply wet on wet, roll top to bottom overlapping half wet half dry.
Do not apply to new metal or wooden surfaces.
Do not thin FIBACRYL™ as the high build properties will be diminished.
Fibacryl has outstanding waterproofing properties to cover hair-line cracks on old and crazed plaster - BUT
Fibacryl will not “repair” faulty masonry or construction faults or cracks.
Painting is a relatively user-friendly activity if the proper precautions are taken to ensure safety
It is advisable to wear gloves as Roofproof is difficult to remove from skin;
Always keep out of reach of children and animals;
Do not take in orally - harmful if swallowed. Seek medical attention and do not induce vomiting;
If accidental contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a good quality skin cleaner;
If accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice;
Wear a respirator if the area being painted cannot be adequately ventilated, and work for short periods only;
Ventilate the area to be painted, opening all doors and windows and using fans during application and drying;
Protect floors with cloth Drop Cloths, not plastic, which is far more slippery;
Do not paint or store paint near any heat source such as a water heater or fireplace, and never smoke while painting;
Make sure your ladder is in good shape. Set the legs on an even surface and lock the cross braces. Do not stand on the top of the ladder nor on the utility shelf. If you are having difficulty reaching a spot, get down from the ladder and move it rather than leaning out;
Clean up carefully and thoroughly when you are done for the day;
If rags have alkyd paint or thinner on them, leave them to dry outside to avoid any chance of spontaneous combustion;
Choose an area inaccessible to children and pets, and when they are thoroughly dry, take them to a toxic-waste dump site.
