COUGHING, SNEEZING, HEADACHES, ILLNESS, ODOURS, ITCHING?
Clothing, linens, towels, cleaning rags, reusable diapers – laundry has a way of piling up. The often-dreaded chore is one of the ways we help maintain a clean and healthy household, but with the COVID-19 pandemic and regular colds and flu, we are all now aware of germs, viruses, patogens, bacteria and fungi. The question is, is a standard wash enough? REASONS WHY CLOTHES STILL HAVE BACTERIA ON AFTER WASHING
CLOTHES AND TOWELS SPREAD GERMS AND BACTERIA
There are three common ways that germs can spread on towels and clothing:
When more than one person shares towels and bedlinens, germs can be spread between them When someone is handling dirty laundry, they can spread germs to their hands Germs can be spread from clothes to clothes when they are washed BACTERIA, VIRUSES AND GERMS CAN CONTAMINATE CLOTHES
Our bodies are the source of the germs found on towels and clothing. We all have bacteria on our skin, in our noses, and our digestive tracts. Although they are typically harmless, certain bacteria can cause infection, particularly in individuals with skin conditions or open wounds.
Germs cannot penetrate normal skin, but they can colonize normal skin. Regular hand washing is more crucial than regular laundry.
If you are in contact with someone with a disease in your house, hospital visiting or submission, walking in public places, malls, schools, public transport etc. you may also be exposed to germs on your clothing. If you do not wear clean pajamas, have guests sleep in your bed/s, your clothing and bedding can be contaminated. Hospital beds, hotel beds, guest house beds and / or beds of friends can be contaminated or have bed bugs, all this is contageous and can be transferred to your washing. When clothing is exposed to food that has been contaminated, they can also transfer to the clothing. Most bacteria on clothes can survive for a long time.
KIDS’ CLOTHES CAN BE ESPECIALLY GERMY
Children can pick up germs from plenty of places that you might not expect, like car seats, your cellphone or tablet, sports equipment (including mats), lunchboxes, backpacks, and pet toys.
MUR-TU® WASH O RAMA™ can be added to rinsing cycle of laundry in Industrial or Domestic Washing Machines or Buckets or Tubs for Hand Washing, it removes spots and odors, makes washing brighter, etc.
Surfaces, washing bins and all floors in contact with washing can be sprayed with spray bottle.
